Each location offers a unique specials menu and if you’re into excellent Spanish wine, these are knockout. And don’t forget to try out the prawn and mushroom tortilla! Dishes range in price but are mostly between £5 and £10.

The Forest Side, Ambleside

Head Chef Kevin Tickle won Grasmere’s Forest Side its Michelin Star within a year of joining in 2016 and is delighted to have retained it for the third year running. Born and bred in the Lake District and previously Head Forager at Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume, the Cumbrian landscape is at the heart of Tickle’s cooking. A lunchtime ‘Bait Menu’ consists of three courses for £40, but the best deal comes with the ‘Dinner, Bed & Breakfast getaways’, starting from £329 per room per night in a Double Room, based on two adults sharing, including a full Cumbrian breakfast and six-course L’al ‘Un tasting menu each.

Trishna, Marylebone, London

This upscale restaurant offers soul-satisfying coastal Indian cuisine. Set in the cosy Marylebone neighbourhood, Trishna’s lunch menu offers great value and a variety of options to choose from.

Angler, Moorgate

This contemporary seafood restaurant has retained its Michelin Star in the 2019 Guide for the fifth year running. Tucked away at the top of the South Place Hotel, Moorgate, Executive Chef Gary Foulkes primarily serves sublime seafood with a modern and minimalist flair.
