Two new show apartments have been launched at Coda, Avanton’s flagship development in Battersea, designed by award winning interior design firm Gordon-Duff & Linton. The two show apartments, a one-bedroom and two-bedroom, are situated on the development’s 11th floor and provide unapparelled views across the River Thames and surrounding Central London area.

Gordon-Duff & Linton have designed the show apartments with London living in mind. Following the COVID-19 outbreak, they tweaked certain design aspects to accommodate the new working from home norm and the need for more space. Both of the apartments provide floor to ceiling glass windows and balconies, creating a zen environment where residents can relax and look at the spectacular views. The two new show apartments have been revealed to coincide with the development’s upcoming completion and first residents moving in.

The one-bedroom apartment has been inspired by the River Thames and London lifestyle with mirrors used throughout the home to the reflect the River and London’s iconic skyline. Gordon-Duff & Linton reveal that the ripples of water were the inspiration for the ombre wallpaper and blue curved sofa, both features of the apartment’s living area. The bedroom has been designed with blue cushions and soft natural furnishing creating a serene space. The apartment offers a balcony with views onto the River Thames and the London Sky Line, an idyllic spot to eat, work and relax.

The two-bedroom show apartment draws inspiration from the tapestry of communities that live in the local Battersea area. The eclectic design used throughout the apartment is highlighted by a mixture of textures, colours and materials which makes the apartment warm and welcoming. Gordon-Duff & Linton reveal that they used a palette which is organic and neutral with earthy rich tones.

The apartment’s open-plan living and dining room area has been designed with terracotta statement chairs and sofas softened by plants and surrounding neutral tones. Accommodating the new working from home norm, a study area has been designed looking out onto the river from floor to ceiling glass windows. The two bedrooms compliment the living area. The guest suite with en-suite bathroom has been designed in burnt oranges and calming neutrals. The master bedroom features statement wallpapers decorated with tigers and flowers with velvet cushions and another desk area for home-working.

The apartment provides a spacious balcony area with table and chairs accessible via the open-plan living and dining room area. This spot will provide residents the opportunity to enjoy the incredible views of London and to watch the sunset whilst dining al-fresco.

Both of the show apartments offer state-of-the-art kitchens designed by Poggenpohl with integrated Siemens appliances.

Set to complete in the coming weeks and with first residents moving in, the release of the two Gordon-duff & Linton show apartments follows months of sales success at Coda, which is the top-selling development in South West London., Coda provides 130 private sale apartments in a 90 metres tall tower on a podium level above the new headquarters for the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) on the ground floor.
