Call it “ugly” or “uninspiring” but multi-millionaires around the world want to take a walk in this park.

An unfurnished One Hyde Park penthouse has been snapped up by an Eastern European tycoon, thought to be either Russian or Ukrainian, for a staggering £140m.

The 16,000 square foot duplex apartment is one of four at the One Hyde Park apartment block in Knightsbridge.

The apartment block has been developed by Christian Candy’s CPC Group and Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani, the former prime minister of Qatar.

Some of the features of the Knightsbridge luxury apartment block include an exclusive private cinema, 21-metre “ozone” swimming pool, squash court, eye-scanners in the lifts, and 24/7 room service from the next door Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel.
