Dubai developers are planning to build a skyscraper to dwarf the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world.

Dubai-based Emaar Properties is planning to build a $1bn tower with rotating balconies and hanging gardens.

The skyscraper, which hasn’t been named yet, is expected to be completed in time for Dubai’s 2020 Expo trade fair.

Emaar chairman Mohamed Alabbar hasn’t revealed the height of the skyscraper but said it will be an “elegant monument” for the city.
