Londoners looking to relocate up by 40% at Flexlands Place in Surrey

Developer Aitch Group have revealed that enquiries at their scheme Flexlands Place in Chobham in Surrey have increased by 40% since the beginning of the COVID 19 outbreak.

The developer and sales agents Savills and Seymours highlight that customers are predominately London based and have been drawn to the luxury homes which sit on a three-acre site. Following recent reports that thousands of city dwellers are looking to relocate out of London, Flexlands Place provides a favourable option due to its country location with easy transport links into London, with a direct train route enabling a 30-minute commute.

Savills and Seymours reveal that customers have been attracted to Flexlands Place due to its offering. Residents benefit from a central landscaped courtyard providing a resident’s lounge, where events can be held, as well as an on-site concierge. The development’s shared resident amenities also include a tennis court, pond, pavilion with bench seating and open green spaces.

The sales agent note that some applicants are looking for outdoor amenities following months of ‘lockdown’ which triggered a want for more outdoor space for themselves and their families. For other applicants, moving out of London had always been desirable but hadn’t been possible previously due to London based jobs. Following the COVID-19 outbreak, many people will now be able to work from home permanently or part-time making a move out of London more feasible. The easy transport links from Flexlands Place into London have therefore been be an important factor for customers.

Flexlands Place, is a collection of 14 two- and three-bedroom luxury homes by Blenheim Living part of developer Aitch Group. Located on Sandpit Hall Road in the affluent Surrey Village of Chobham, the gated development sits on the three-acre site of the former Flexlands School.

Flexlands School, founded in 1935 by Ann and Katherine Mais was an independent preparatory school which catered to hundreds of students within the local community. The three-bedroom show home named Hazelwood provides 1,625 sq. ft. of space and is on sale for £995,000. The show home was designed by renowned interior design firm Alexander James who drew inspiration from the gated development’s leafy surroundings. The house has been designed with a pallet consisting of muted tones and highlights of deep greens and burnt oranges, creating a warm and cosy vibe. The show home enables perspective customers to envision how their homes could look.

The two-bedroom show home named Hollywood provides 1,625 sq. ft. is on sale for £925,000 and was designed by EMR Architecture also provides a luxury feel with a warm interior design.
