The first homes at a new residential development in Poplar have gone on sale as building work progresses well on site.
Bellway London’s Explorer’s Wharf will comprise 184 apartments, many with views of the Limehouse Cut canal and Canary Wharf.
The development, which is transforming a brownfield site off Thomas Road, will also include its own gym, a concierge service, cycle stores and landscaped podium and rooftop gardens.
As well as providing a range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, including 57 affordable homes for local people and key workers, Bellway is also investing £74,300 in local infrastructure and facilities.
Construction work on the first homes is due to be completed by the end of this year.
Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “Explorer’s Wharf is already proving popular with buyers, given its superb location within easy reach of Canary Wharf, east London and the City.
“The transport links are excellent, with Westferry DLR being just a 10-minute walk away.”
She added: “The development has fantastic views across London and over the Limehouse Cut and there is a great mix of apartment styles on offer here, each completed to a high specification and with a balcony or terrace for enjoying the outdoors.
“We have now opened a sales office on site and a two-bedroom showhome available for purchasers to look around.
“And we would encourage prospective buyers to visit and find out more while there is still a wide choice of properties available.”
One-bedroom apartments are priced from £367,000, two-bedroom properties from £485,000 and three-bedroom homes from £560,000.
