Phase II of the luxurious Signature Apartments at the Algarve’s stunning Palmares Ocean Living & Golf is now 80% sold, according to owner and operator Kronos Homes.

The news follows a busy summer season for the resort’s boutique beachfront hotel, rental apartments and owner-occupied apartments and villas.

Britons topped the list of purchasing nationalities, accounting for 31% of sales. They were followed by US buyers (25%), Portuguese and Russian buyers (8% each), then Canadian, Irish and German buyers, who each accounted for 6% of sales. Swiss, Belgian, Montenegrin and Swedish buyers have also purchased Signature Apartments at the luxury resort.

The majority of buyers were interested in Signature Apartments for use as second homes, with 36% of buyers listing this as their purchase motivation. A further 33% of buyers bought apartments as rental investments, while 25% did so in pursuit of a Portuguese Golden Visa. The remaining 6% of buyers bought a Signature Apartment to use as their primary residence.

“Owners and visitors alike have been enjoying everything from the 27-hole golf course to the Michelin star restaurant, Al Sud, at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf this summer. Occupancy levels have been excellent, with the spectacular natural environment and stress-free pace of life delivering serenity and relaxation in abundance,” Alda Filipe, Sales and Marketing Director, Kronos Homes

The Signature Apartments at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf overlook the Bay of Lagos, with building heights and density carefully controlled to maximise views from the spacious terraces and light-filled rooms. The natural tones and textures of the interior complement the surrounding landscape, creating a sense of harmony and flow, as does the full height glazing to living areas and bedrooms.

On-site dining experiences are overseen by Executive Chef Louis Anjos. They include a rich array of local flavours available at the Palmares Beach House Hotel restaurant and the Clubhouse, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects RCR Arquitectes. Chef Anjos and his team also deliver innovative fine dining at Michelin-starred Al Sud, as well as a range of seasonal gastronomic events, ranging from BBQ evenings with live music to wine tasting experiences guided by resident sommelier João Ferreira.

For golfers, Palmares’ 27-hole course offers both challenging play and striking views. Designed by renowned American architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, annual golf membership for two people is included with the purchase of every home at the resort.

Beach lovers have all they need at Palmares, with the soft white sands of the 4km-long Meia Praia just a short stroll away. Meanwhile, the characterful town of Lagos, with its orange tree-lined squares and winding streets packed with shops, restaurants, ice cream parlours and tiny bakeries, is just a 10-minute drive from Palmares.

The phase II sales success follows the first phase of apartments selling out ahead of schedule. Now, the final few units of phase II are available for purchase starting from €600,000.

“The properties at Palmares Ocean Living & Golf enjoy an elevated position with delightful views over the Bay of Lagos. Perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace as the sun goes down and making the most of every moment,” said, Alda Filipe, Sales and Marketing Director, Kronos Homes
