On the back of the 364-seat majority win for the Conservative Party at the 2019 General Election it is understood that an international buyer has completed the purchase of the £65,000,000 penthouse at Belgravia Gate on Grosvenor Crescent in Belgravia. It is understood that the deal, the highest price achieved for a penthouse in London this year, was brokered by Marcus O’Brien of the Private Office at Beauchamp Estates. The Private Office is the ultra-high-net-worth client division of Beauchamp Estates, founded in 1979 by Gary Hersham. For 40-years Beauchamp Estates has been involved in some of the largest and most valuable deals in London and beyond, with the firm brokering a deal in excess of £170m for the sale of a palatial 18,000 sqft private palace in France.Located across the top two floors of Belgravia Gate, with interior design by Thomas Juul-Hansen LLC, the dressed ultra-prime penthouse of circa 9,800 square feet is arranged as a six bedroom duplex, complete with a 2,000 sqft private roof top terrace. On the lower floor of the duplex features include two large reception rooms, a 14-16 seat formal dining room, a family kitchen/breakfast room, study, cocktail bar and guest bedroom suite. The main reception room and the cocktail bar open onto the large rooftop terrace which is arranged as an “outside luxury home”, providing lush landscaping and several entertaining, seating and dining areas. On the upper level of the penthouse is the master bedroom suite, which spans the entire depth of the building, and has a bedroom suite with lounge area, His and Hers ensuite bathrooms and a master bathroom. There are a further four VIP bedroom suites on the upper level.Belgravia’s answer to ‘One Hyde Park’, Belgravia Gate consists of 12 ultra-prime residences created behind the Grade II listed façade of a grand Regency terrace of four large mansion buildings at 11-15 Grosvenor Crescent. When approached, Beauchamp Estates declined to comment on the deal.
