Nearly 70 per cent of the last phase of homes at a landmark Chelmsford development have now been sold.
One and two-bedroom apartments are the final homes being built at Bellway’s Marconi development, which has reshaped the local landscape since it first launched in 2014.
Benefits to the community extend beyond new homes, as the development has brought over £3,250,000 worth of investment to the area.

Contributions to the local community include payments towards education providers of over £770,000, local open space contributions of over £510,000 and a payment towards public art of £104,000.
Jenny Walker, Senior Sales Manager for Bellway Essex, said: “Marconi has been a flagship development for us at Bellway and has formed the backbone of our business in the area for the last five years, so it seems very strange to be nearing the end of work at the site.
“The development has also generated significant investment in Chelmsford, which has contributed to the regeneration of the area into a vibrant and thriving commuter city.
“The countdown is now on for people wishing to buy a one or two-bedroom apartment at Marconi, so we’re urging them to visit us to see what we have to offer as soon as they can.”

While the whole Marconi development, pictured above, has generated over £3,250,000 investment, the final phase, which is being built and sold now, is responsible for more than £742,000 worth of community infrastructure payments.
