Would you want to live here?

If you draw up a roster of London’s hottest properties, Battersea Power Station’s luxury apartments would definitely bag one of the top spots.

The £9bn project, set to be complete this year, is spread across 42 acres and boasts a community of homes, shops, cafes, offices and 18 acres of public space.

Today, the first apartment created to showcase homes designed by 87-year-old starchitet Frank Gehry is opening at Battersea Power Station.

Gehry’s designs include a cluster of five buildings with sculptural façades inspired by London’s famous John Regency terraces.

Visitors are being invited today to check out the development’s winter gardens and a residents’ club which includes extensive social, lounge, library and workspaces spilling out onto the residents’ gardens. There will also be a holistic yoga studio and treatment rooms.

Rob Tincknell, CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “This is an exciting day not just for London but for the UK as it will offer a first glimpse into the world of Gehry here at Battersea Power Station.  Everyone involved is delighted to be able to show people the extraordinary craftsmanship and design from this exemplary architectural team which is bringing its world-famous innovation to London.”
