With over five million people being welcomed through the doors at Battersea Power Station since its grand public opening in October 2022, it is clear that this award-winning regeneration project has caught the attention of the public, as visitors flock to see inside this Grade II* listed landmark for the first time.

Providing the opportunity for aspiring home hunters to join this thriving neighbourhood, Peabody’s New Mansion Square presents an impressive collection of studios,  one- and two-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments.

The development comprises a total of 386 homes, with the remaining studio to four-bedroom apartments available for social rent and London affordable rent. Set to showcase the vibrant lifestyle on offer at this unique location, Peabody is preparing for the launch of its marketing suite on Saturday 22nd April, with those visiting able to secure the chance to be one of the first to view the new studio, 1 and 2-bedroom show homes.

Inspired by traditional Victorian mansion-style architecture, homes at New Mansion Square are set around a central garden square. Located across two blocks, each of the Shared Ownership homes features spacious open-plan layouts, designed to provide flexibility and swathes of warm, natural lighting throughout, with nearly every apartment benefitting from dual aspect windows.

Kitchens feature a range of high-quality AEG and Zanussi integrated appliances, contemporary high gloss handless units and composite stone worktops. Porcelain stone and floor tiles create a modern bathroom, complete with inset white bath, Bristan shower and chrome features.  Each home is complete with its own balcony or terrace area.

Providing further amenities to enjoy, the development hosts a dedicated concierge service for peace of mind and to make everyday life run more smoothly, alongside a new NHS medical centre, cultural space, play area and 12,000 sq ft of flexible workspace for both residents and the local community to benefit from.

Andrew Peglau, Assistant Director of Marketing, Brand & PR at Peabody said,“When buying a new home, first impressions count. With this in mind, our new marketing suite has been carefully designed to showcase the high quality of design and vibrant lifestyle that residents at New Mansion Square can expect.

“We are really excited to start welcoming people to our marketing suite in the New Year so that we can demonstrate the unmissable opportunity for first time buyers looking to live in a Zone 1 location seeped in culture and history.”

Nearly forty years after the lights were switched off, the Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station has been transformed into London’s most exciting new retail, dining and leisure destination, and is the centrepiece of this new 42-acre riverside neighbourhood.

Over 100 shops, restaurants and bars can now be enjoyed across the estate, including high street favourites Zara, Mango and Uniqlo, athleisurewear from Nike, Adidas and Lululemon, and beauty brands such as The Body Shop, Space NK and Aesop. Leisure opportunities include the newly opened The Cinema in The Power Station, crazy golf at Birdies, and Lift 109, a new chimney lift experience taking visitors to the top of the north west chimney for 360 degree views of London.

More brands are due to open soon, including a 24,000 sq ft Arcade Food Hall. Battersea Power Station also hosts a regular programme of events run through the year, including the Light Festival, Spring Festival, Summer Showtime and festive celebrations.

Sarah Banham, Head of Community & Sustainability at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said, “We are looking forward to welcoming the first residents at New Mansion Square to join our expanding neighbourhood. Having recently opened the Power Station and Electric Boulevard, our new pedestrianised high street, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to become part of the Battersea Power Station community, with so many new places to experience right on residents’ doorstep.”

In addition to a beautiful residents’ garden at New Mansion Square, buyers can also relax and unwind in a variety of local green spaces. Over 19 acres of public realm can be enjoyed at Battersea Power Station, including the six-acre Power Station Park overlooking the River Thames.

Just a 15-minute stroll away, Battersea Park is a 200-acre Victorian park. Here residents have a truly stunning space to escape to and enjoy the riverside promenade, a beautiful boating lake, a children’s zoo, the Pump House art gallery and sports facilities. A little further afield, Clapham Common offers over 85 hectares to explore. Featuring three ponds, two woodlands, a paddling pool, skatepark, and a selection of cafes, there is plenty to discover.

Sustainable travel options are plentiful at New Mansion Square. The regeneration of Battersea Power Station includes a new Zone 1 London Underground station which opened in September 2021 and forms part of the Northern Line Extension.

With these new services just a two-minute walk away, residents can now be within the heart of the City at Waterloo (7 minutes), London Bridge (11 minutes) or Bank (13 minutes). Another great option for travel across London is hopping on the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers River Bus at the Battersea Power Station pier. Extensive new cycle and pedestrian routes around New Mansion Square mean those who prefer to get around under their own steam can do so with ease.

Prices at New Mansion Square start from £131,250 for a 25% share of a studio apartment. One-bedroom apartment prices start from £141,250 for a 25% share and from £181,250 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment.
