London’s skyline is set to get even more Shardtastic as developer Irvine Sellar is planning to build a 27-storey residential tower in the London Bridge area.
The building would have 150 apartments, a new public space, retail space and will float 14m over London Bridge Street.
The new skyscraper would be Shard architect Renzo Piano’s third building in the vicinity. For those of you who don’t know, the other two are the Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe, and The Place in London Bridge, aka the Baby Shard.
James Sellar told Property Week: “This exciting project continues the regeneration of the area around London Bridge Station, building on the success of both The Shard and The Place as well as the significant improvements we have already made to the station concourse and bus station.”
A planning application for the new building is expected to be submitted within the next few weeks.
