Schroders Capital today announces that Iris Aalders has joined in the newly-created role of Head of Real Estate Client and Product Management.

Based in London, she will be responsible for investor servicing and product management for the global real estate business.

Reporting to Robin Hubbard, Head of Real Estate Capital Formation, Iris will lead the day-to-day management of the real estate product managers globally, working closely with the fund managers and local sales teams to service Schroders Capital’s expanding client base and anticipate their requirements.

Iris has spent the majority of her career to date at CBRE Global Investors and CBRE, most recently as Global Executive Director of Client Care for Continental Europe and Asia Pacific based in Amsterdam and Singapore. Iris’ skills and experience will be invaluable as Schroders Capital rolls out its client management plans globally and enhances its client service programme.

In addition, Sam Murphy, who joined Schroders eight years ago, has moved internally to become the product manager in Iris’ team responsible for the real estate debt and hotel fund offerings. Maisie Donati has also joined the team as a Product Executive to support the various product managers.

The broader Real Estate Capital Formation team is responsible for developing, launching and raising equity for Schroders Capital’s growing range of real estate investment strategies globally, as well as client relationship development, ongoing product management and investor servicing.

Robin Hubbard, Head of Real Estate Capital Formation, Schroders Capital, commented:

“Over the last nine months we have successfully held final closes on three debut specialised real estate fund strategies raising over $1.1bn of equity and, over the course of 2021, we expect to have held first closes on several new fund strategies. With these recent hires we are continuing to build our bench of talent as Schroders Capital broadens and deepens its capabilities within private real estate globally.

“In this context we’re very pleased to have attracted a high quality professional in Iris to support this growth. With more than 20 years’ experience in strategy development and client management, Iris will significantly strengthen our ability to service clients and launch new products.”
