UK-based property investor Keli Pirie’s hugely popular serviced accommodation property investment has allowed her husband to quit his job.

She had previously owned six buy-to-let properties and a childminding business, which cumulated in a busy, stressful lifestyle.

Keli had felt that with extra guidance in property she had the potential be extremely successful in life and subsequently reached out to property investment education provider, Touchstone Education.

Working with Paul Smith and Touchstone Education led to a change in property investment strategy as she chose serviced accommodation.

She now has three 2-bedroom cottages and a 5-bedroom refurbishment property.

The properties return four times more as serviced accommodation as they did as a buy-to-let.

Scotston Villa is a five bedroom serviced accommodation property. The end result of the property renovation was that she had 16 bookings within days of putting it live.

The success of the project has given Keli’s husband the chance to leave his manual labour job and concentrate on cleaning and maintenance of the property.

Keli Pirie said: “I had six buy-to-let (BTL) properties and owned a large childminding business and I was completely stressed out with the amount of hours I had to work to continue childminding.

“Last summer I turned one of my buy-to-lets into serviced accommodation and it makes at least x4 the amount, which is how we have bought three more cottages. My husband has now been able to leave his job. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this success without the support of Touchstone Education.”
