The £15bn regeneration of Nine Elms has contributed to a surge of property sales in the area, according to Bellway London.

Changes to major transport links, including the two new stations at Nine Elms and Battersea, will drastically improve local travel connections.

The changes will result in Bellway London’s recently-launched Lexington Gardens development, off Ponton Road, finding itself in Zone 1, as opposed to its current Zone 2 standing.

As a result, property prices are expected to increase in the area dramatically over the next few years.

Emma Hamlett, sales director for Bellway London said, “The regeneration across Nine Elms has significantly affected our plans here, as we are able to offer buyers the opportunity to move to an area which will be Zone 1, while still selling homes currently at Zone 2 prices.

“Purchasers at both Lexington Gardens and its sister site The Residence love the fact that the developments stand just minutes away from the new Nine Elms station on foot, reaching London Bridge in nine minutes.”

She added, “Our high-quality modern development of homes, featuring high-specification interior appliances and fittings, combined with the scheme’s other features including a roof garden and residents’ gym, has also given buyers every reason to find a home for them here.

“The story of one of London’s most exciting regeneration schemes is just beginning, so what better time to relocate to SW8. Buyers can visit us each day at the development and find out more about how to make their move to Nine Elms in the very near future.”

Lexington Gardens is also close to the redeveloped landmark of Battersea Power Station, a new home for business, including the new UK HQ for tech giant Apple.

The entire Nine Elms area is currently undergoing major regeneration to transform it into a vibrant residential and commercial district, with cycleways, parks and piazzas.

Lexington Gardens is a prestigious Nine Elms development comprising one, two and three-bedroom apartments, a concierge service, a media room, roof gardens and a private gym, where prices currently start from £569,950.
