Lord Sugar has now become landlord of a building in Tech City.

The Apprentice star has forked out £23.3m for 186 City Road, a building that generates £1m a year in rent.

Amsprop managing director Daniel Sugar told the Standard: “The purchase of this property further increases Amsprop’s holding in the Old Street/Clerkenwell area, identified as one of the developing ‘Tech firm hubs’.”

But Lord Sugar isn’t limiting himself to his East End roots.

Back in February, he spent £31m to buy Burberry’s former headquarters on Haymarket.

And last year he snapped up Time Warner’s Soho HQ for £24m. The building, 44-45 Great Marlborough Street, is located between the future Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road Crossrail stations.
