Pop legend Rod Stewart is believed to have spent £4.5m to buy a Grade II listed stately home in Essex.
Rumours are afloat that Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster are the new owners of Durrington House, on the edge of Epping Forests.
The 10-bedroom home comes with a billiard room, a croquet lawn, basement wine cellar, a carriage house with an 18th-century clock tower, a rose garden, an orchard and four cottages.
