You can’t live in Buckingham Palace, but this is pretty close
You can’t live in Buckingham Palace, the £1bn residence of kings and queens, but buy one of the £30m homes at No.1 Palace Street and you can certainly live really close to the Queen. A stone’s throw away – literally.
Property developers Northacre have developed a block of 72 homes right next to Buckingham Palace, out of which 15 have already been snapped up.
According to the Standard, the apartment block is a former civil service building with a Grade II listed façade.
Designed by Squire & Partners, the homes come with one to five bedrooms and of course the regular rich-and-famous necessities like a a 20m pool, gym, pilates studio, steam room and sauna and a cinema room.
Niccolò Barattieri di San Pietro, chief executive of developer Northacre, told the paper: “Who wouldn’t want an apartment overlooking the gardens of Buckingham Palace? It is a unique opportunity,” he added.
