Nick and Christian Candy’s company reported a loss last year after slow sales of their luxury One Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge.

Accounts published yesterday showed that Candy & Candy’s turnover dropped from £10.8m to £9.3m with losses at £46,899.  Last year, the company which sells the “world’s most expensive apartment block” made a £1.1m profit.

The poor results are “mainly as a result of the reduced number of show apartments at One Hyde Park being designed in the year,” said the accounts.

Nick and wife Holly Valance own a penthouse in the block and Christian owns separate flats worth £31m and £26.2m on the 10th floor.

Total sales for One Hyde Park stood at £1.7bn in October last year.
