Would you pay £500 per month to sleep on the floor of this cupboard in Clapham? No, of course you wouldn’t

Pay to live out your Harry Potter fantasy! (We mean the horrible emotional abuse at the start before he finds out he’s a wizard.)

If you’re dumb enough to pay £500 a month to sleep on the floor under some stairs, you’ve only really got yourself to blame for subsequent pennilessness and back problems.

Househunter Alex Lomax tweeted her shock at being shown what is very clearly a coat cupboard as a bedroom.

The ad on London2let.com reads: “We are looking for a friendly, open-minded and outgoing person to join our houseshare in a great period house in Clapham.

“We’re a good bunch and like to chill out a lot together – not really looking for somebody that just wants to stay in their room. Room comes with a bed. Bills to be shared – approx. £60 per month each.”

We can’t tell if we’re more surprised at the price tag, that they’re calling it a room, or any one of a number of things that are clearly so desperately wrong with this.
