West is proving best in the Algarve, with property sales booming at the laidback Salema Beach Village, just 15 minutes’ drive from the region’s westernmost tip.
Kronos Homes, the firm offering real estate sales at the resort, with properties priced from €340,000, has reported strong sales for Q1 2025, with particularly keen interest from buyers based in the US and UK.
The rise in interest is reflected in the March 2025 Portuguese Housing Market Survey from RICS/Confidencial Imobiliário (Ci), which points to the net balance of new buying enquiries rising +19%, while “sales expectations remain robust over a three-month time horizon.” The report also flags house prices’ continued upward momentum, observing the strongest reading since August 2022, with Ci Director Richard Guimarães observing that, “Prices continue to increase and are rising at a faster pace.”
