The Shard, London and Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper, will see six new tenants moving in this year. However, even after the new tenants move in, the skyscraper will be only 50% let.
The new tenants include New York-based investment bank Duff & Phelps, Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, world’s largest hospital group Hospital Corporation of America, an intellectual property law firm, a venture capital group and an energy company.
The 72-storey skyscraper, which opened last year, will this year see eight of its 26 office floors let.
Oblix, Aqua Shard and Hutong, the three restaurants in the skyscraper, opened last year with Shangri-La hotel expected to launch in May this year.
Last year, the Shard opened its viewing deck The View From The Shard.
Last month, developers Irvine Sellar announced plans of building a 27-storey residential tower next to the Shard.
