Plans have been unveiled by developer Pringle Brandon Drew for a new project including a 38-story tower in east London.
The project, called The Stage Shoreditch, will be built on the site of the Curtain Theatre, a Shakespearean playhouse dating from 1577. As part of the plans, the remains of the theatre will be preserved as a small museum, looked after by The Museum of London.
The tower will have 400 apartments, retail and office space.
The plans will be submitted to Hackney Council next month and could be realised within four years.
