Annington Homes, one of the largest private owners of residential property in the UK, has been working a touch of magic on former garrison properties in Hampshire turning old homes into almost-new as part of the major regeneration of the once neglected Whitehill & Bordon area in Hampshire.

Launching on 8 November with an open weekend on the 9 and 10 November, the spacious family homes, known as Woodland View thanks to their enviable position on the edge of unspoiled woods, have been totally renovated from the ground upwards, including new kitchens, new bathrooms, new front doors and new carpets and flooring throughout. Brand new energy-efficient boilers and full insulation complete the refit.“The properties have been completely refurbished, to the extent that almost everything is new,” says Roy Bennett, New Homes Sales Manager at LSL New Homes, who are marketing the properties. “And while the sparkling new kitchens, bathrooms and internal finishes offer all the same benefits as buying a new home, these two, three and four-bedroom homes actually have much more to offer – not least the fact that they are set in an established environment at the heart of one of the most exciting regeneration projects in the country.”

While new-build homes often suffer from uncertain completion dates, not to mention a price premium, the properties at Woodland View offer buyers the chance to make an immediate move into the exciting Whitehill & Bordon Healthy New Town, with none of the delays of buying off plan. In fact, Woodland View has everything you would expect from a brand new home except for the price tag.

Roy Bennett explains: “Woodland View will be at the heart of an exciting regeneration project, aiming to create one of the most desirable places to live, work and play in Hampshire. These lovely family homes, with allocated parking, are close to children’s play areas, surrounded by picturesque woodland and have popular walks in the Bordon enclosure nearby, all combining to make them a wonderful place to enjoy family life.“The regeneration of the whole area is well underway and will offer something for everyone, including shops, cafés and restaurants alongside community and commercial spaces, a fabulous leisure centre and new and expanding schools,” he adds. “The homes themselves are spacious and offer great value for money compared to buying new, and they have the advantage of being ready to move into within weeks rather than buying off plan and having to wait months for a move date. We recommend an early appointment to look around Woodland View, as we expect the properties to sell quickly.”

Whitehill & Bordon is at the centre of a complex, £1bn, multi-partner, 15-year collaborative and transformational place-making programme to transform the former garrison area into a Healthy New Town, with 150 acres of community open space, an Enterprise Zone site to attract business investment and create thousands of new jobs and a sustainable transport system. The area will eventually have 3,350 new homes and nearly 100,000sqm of new commercial, retail, and leisure floor space.Louise Saunders, Sales & Marketing Manager at Annington said, “Whitehill & Bordon will be a great place to live and work, and our Woodland View project is at the very heart of this exciting development, with a mix of sale and rental homes that have been refurbished to a very high standard. We have a number of homes that will be open for our launch weekend, enabling visitors to see just how spacious the rooms are and what fantastic value for money a refurbished home can offer.”

The homes are ideally situated close to the A3 and the A31, offering an easy road commute to Petersfield, Portsmouth, Southampton and the south coast, while the mainline station at Liphook, six miles away, offers regular services to Waterloo in just over an hour.

Prices at Woodland View will start from £220,000 for a two-bedroom home, with three and four-bedroom homes also available.
