UK rental guarantor service Housing Hand has announced the appointment Andy Attewell in the role of Key Account Manager – PBSA. Attewell joins the expanding sales team in a period of unprecedented growth for the business. He brings significant experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector, having previously spent nearly 17 years with Host Students.

Rising from Hall Manager at Host Students in 2005 to East Midlands Regional Manager in 2008 and National Operations Manager in March 2012, Attewell brings extensive knowledge of the student sector to Housing Hand. Attewell was also Host Students’ representative on the ANUK/National Code Committee for accommodation owned or managed by non-educational establishments.

Prior to joining Host Students, Attewell spent 24 years in the Armed Forces, rising to the rank of Warrant Officer First Class, responsible for the running of the Regimental Administration Office. He has also worked as a project manager on the Farnborough Airshow and other major military exhibitions.
Attewell’s appointment as Key Account Manager – PBSA is part of Housing Hand’s strategy to provide ultra-responsive services that support students to access suitable accommodation rapidly, even at short notice. It is an approach that has proven critical in working with the imbalance of supply and demand for accommodation in many UK cities, both for private rental accommodation and PBSA homes.
