At the intersection of rich cultures, Limassol Del Mar evokes the very essence and beauty of the Mediterranean, which it looks out upon, created to enhance the nature and landscape that surrounds it.

This winning combination coupled with the resilience of the Cyprus market, undeterred by covid, and Limassol’s draw as a year round destination has proved irresistible for buyers. Over 80% of residences have now sold and impressively phase A is scheduled to complete by the end of this year.

Set across two distinctive towers within its own mixed-use development, this is a new destination for Cyprus, with a world class retail and culinary offering, against a backdrop of beautiful architecture and design. Benoy unravelled the unique architecture of the development with the distinctive curvilinear elegant proportions; the evocation of both the coastline it envelopes, and the sea beyond.

“With its undulating silhouette, the design gracefully echoes the rhythm of the landscape while bringing the magic of the sea into the development. Generous terracing and outdoor pools complete the sense of place. Our design celebrates the many reasons why people have wanted to visit this part of the world for centuries,” says John Dawes, Chief Architect.

Form and beauty are further played out in the interiors of Limassol Del Mar’s Signature Collection, furnished by Gianfranco Ferré Home, as part of a collaboration with Jumbo Group, the first of its kind for Cyprus. Recognised as the ‘architect of fashion’, an icon of Italian style and genius of geometric patterns Gianfranco Ferré’s legacy lives on through Gianfranco Ferré Home, which has designed bespoke pieces for the apartments and mixed contemporary creations with delicate colours, comfort and classic, timeless designs that fit with the high-end specifications of the apartments on offer.

The range of two to six bedroom residences and penthouses within the collection feature beautifully crafted terraces with dual aspect panoramas.  In synchronicity with the proportions and layout, stunning Alba, velvet sofas with flowing rounded edges – a nod to the waves below – sit with contrasting Isola metal coffee tables and striking Vista glass bar stools in the lounge. Marrying materiality and couture style with a supreme sense of comfort adds to the life-enhancing views. Bedrooms are adorned with metal detailing and eco leathers alongside exclusive Signature Collection linens. The colour palette is of cool blues against sand, gold and softer greys with eponymous striking monochromatic touches.

“The tones are never loud, the shapes stretch to the limits of what is possible, to draw from the cultural knowledge of our past and be re-proposed in a modern, contemporary way. The ideas we have used in The Signature Collection, are precisely these; a collection that reproduces core concepts, but, at the same time, adapts to the spirit and inspiration behind the entire project,” highlights Livio Ballabio, Partner and Creative Director at Jumbo Group taking into account the history of the site and the international appeal of the development.

An effortless elegance carries through to the Italian kitchen by Arclinea which has reconstructed granite worktops and integrated Miele appliances showcasing the enhanced specification throughout the apartment while the bathrooms and en suites have custom-made vanity cupboards, delicate mosaic tiling with Duravit fittings and Hansgrohe taps and mixers.

Inside, ARA Design International, has also used the sea as its inspiration. The company has overseen interiors of the lobby area, residents’ restaurant, spa, gym, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pool spaces. Creating a sense of arrival, a 3D, hand-carved marble sculptural pendant feature is suspended behind the main lobby, running up the wall to the mezzanine level where the restaurant will be situated. Natural and brushed metal finishes are complemented by area rugs in turquoise and blues that depicts flowing water to represent the sea, amplifying light and wellbeing.

Integrating an unrivalled lifestyle offering, the surrounding La Plaza Del Mar will be a vibrant shopping and culinary destination for Limassol, for residents and visitors alike. Shaping this vision for La Plaza Del Mar is renowned landscape architecture firm, Cracknell whose design reflects the essence of the Mediterranean Sea in every detail, from planting and paving to outdoor furniture layout, using curvilinear lines, reminiscent of water lapping at the development’s edge.

walkways on the external footpath invite residents and their guests to visit the luxury boutique outlets on offer on the ground floor, with elevated pocket gardens surrounded by water, forming meditative private spaces for relaxation, while sampling culinary delights and cocktails at the selection of high-end restaurants and bars, as they enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea.

Located on Cyprus’ south coast, Limassol has been voted one of the world’s most up-and-coming cities and is the island’s most cosmopolitan. With a 17km coastline of azure water and blue flag beaches, as well as a wealth of history and culture, it is a hub for both business and leisure.

The city enjoys a vibrant shopping district, nightlife and an array of cafes, bars and clubs to cater for all tastes. With a superyacht marina to rival the best in Europe, alongside historical sites and the backdrop of nearby Troodos Mountains, it is also home to some the country’s best private schools.

Prices at The Signature Collection start from €2,020,000.
