Global real estate adviser Knight Frank has secured II Borro, the authentic high end Italian restaurant, inspired by the prestigious Il Borro Estate in Tuscany, at 15 Berkeley Street in Mayfair.

Following an off-market global mandate, the restaurant, a first in the UK, is taking a 20-year lease for the 11,000 sq ft flagship location. II Borro will replace the longstanding Nobu restaurant, which is relocating to the Nobu Hotel Portman Square in April this year.

Il Borro is renowned for its famous Tuscan estate which has more than a 1,000 years of rich history, and is set amongst a sprawling 700-hectare estate. Il Borro will open later this year serving customers authentic Italian produce all day, sourced primarily from Il Borro’s renowned Tuscan estate in Italy.

Knight Frank secured II Borro at a record-rent for Mayfair following a competitive bidding process following an international marketing campaign utilising Knight Frank’s international retail network.

Josh Braid, Partner in Knight Frank’s Central London team said, “We are delighted at bringing a piece of Italy’s Tuscan region to London’s world-class restaurant destination in Mayfair. After a global search for this renowned flagship, we were impressed with Il Borro’s culture, creativity and attention to detail making this combination a truly exciting prospect for London’s fine dining scene.”

The prestigious and International recognised address already boasts an exclusive line up of venues including Sexy Fish, Park Chinois, Novikov, Amazonico, La Gavroche and The Wolseley, as well as famous and historic private members clubs like Annabel’s, The Arts Club and Morton’s.
