One of London’s most exclusive party venues and celebrity hangouts Kensington Roof Gardens is up for sale for £200m
The 1.5 acre venue perched on top of the former Derry & Toms department store sees many a celebrity like Mick Jagger and David Bowie coming through its doors.
The venue is famous for its flamingos, fruit trees and a stream filled with fish also hosts the annual pre-Wimbledon tennis party.
Although Richard Branson’s Virgin group has held the lease of the Grade II-listed gardens since 1981, joint owners Singaporean property company CapitalLand, Asian conglomerate Genting and hotel operator HPL have put it up for sale.
However, it’s not certain when Branson’s lease expires, a spokesman from Property Week told the Daily Mail.
Property Week has also reported that Jones Lang LaSalle have been appointed to find a buyer for the venue.
