Love it or loathe it, the Shard has become a London icon. Or should we say, arf arf, eye-con. London train drivers are complaining that it “acts like a giant mirror for the sun” with drivers “almost blinded by the reflection”, according to reports from City AM’s The Capitalist.
Rail company Southeastern confirmed to the paper it had issued a warning to its drivers, saying: “The notice reminded divers of the rule to slow down when visibility is poor and to remain vigilant at all times by using sun visors and wearing their work-issued sunglasses while driving.”
