One of LondonlovesBusiness.com’s neighbours, New Scotland Yard, is up for sale.
The iconic building, which has become famous for being the backdrop to many crime reporters’ pieces to camera in the last 50 years, is up for sale for £250m.
The sale is due to a drive to cut costs, with police aiming to save £6m a year – the same as paying for 130 police officers.
Ten Broadway, as it will be known when the Metropolitan Police moves out, is 1.7 acres and has 600,000sq ft of office space, with views of St James’s Park, the Houses of Parliament and LondonlovesBusiness.com Towers.
The Met will be moving to a new, smaller office at Embankment, which we hope will be named New New Scotland Yard (but it probably won’t).
