Chelsea Football Club’s plans to build a new stadium within the iconic Battersea Power Station has met more opposition, this time from those with close links to City Hall, according to Dave Hill.
Writing in his London Blog, Hill points to signs that Boris won’t be “blessing the Europeans champions’ plan” after the mayor’s chief of staff and deputy, Sir Edward Lister, told the Daily Mail: “I don’t think the site is suitable for Chelsea, and nor do a lot of people. It’s not a goer.”
