Which one would you buy?

It would take all of Sir Alex Ferguson’s £34m fortune or half of Daniel Radcliffe’s £60m wealth to buy just one of the houses on this list.

Affordable only to UHNWIS (that’s ultra-high-net-worth individuals), these mansions on the market cost a whopping £250,000 to maintain every year. That’s almost 10 times the £26,500 the average Brit earns annually.

But at a time when a London council home fetches £2.3m and a small garden in Fulham sells for £120,000, what do you expect? Not to mention the London home listed on Gumtree recently that cost a staggering £10.5m.

Now we know you LondonlovesBusiness.com readers are addicted to property porn. So here are 10 mansions on the market that you can lust over this January.

1. Five-bedroom flat, One Hyde Park, Knightsbridge

Price tag: £68m

One Hyde Park

You can’t have a London’s-most-expensive-property list and not mention One Hyde Park. Bang opposite Harrods, this apartment block is brought to you by the Candy brothers and is billed as one of the world’s most exclusive addresses.

This £68m home is divided into two wings with all five bedrooms on one side and the living spaces on the other.

A Rolex and McLaren Automotive showroom sits on the ground floor and residents have access to a private swimming pool, cinema, gym and spa.

A word of caution: this home may be slightly over-priced as back in December an unknown buyer bought a One Hyde Park flat for £27m.

2. 15-bedroom home, The Bishops Avenue, north London

Price tag: £65m

The Bishops Avenue

If you’d like to buy a family home, then spend your millions here for this home has not five, not 10, but 15 bedrooms.

Once home of sugar magnate William Lyle of the Tate & Lyle family, this mansion also comes with six reception rooms, 15 bathrooms, a cinema and a pool.

Buy this property to boast that you own a home with a tennis court and a wine cellar that can store up to 647 standard-size wine bottles.

Also, this home’s just 650 metres away from the East Finchley Underground Station. But then again, you probably wouldn’t take the Tube if you had the money to buy this property.

3. Eight-bedroom home, Lyndhurst Road, Hampstead

Price tag: £49m

Hampstead home

Built circa 1896 for Russell Rea, a Victorian shipping tycoon, the USP of this manor is its posh swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor. This eight-bedroom home also boasts a beautiful garden and terrace, big enough to host New Year parties and even a small wedding.

An “ultimate family house in a superb location” is how Simon Edwards, property agent, Savills Hampstead, describes this mega-mansion.

4. 9-bedroom house, Chester Terrace, Regent’s Park

Price tag: £39.95m

Regent’s Park home

With an open-air jacuzzi with views of the London skyline and a six-seater cinema, this home would be the ultimate status symbol for you. Kitted out with a cards room, library, cinema, spa and wine cellar, the home also boasts six reception rooms and four further bedroom suites.

5. Eight-bedroom home, Charles Street, Mayfair

 Price tag: £39.5m

Mayfair Home

Live here and Phones 4U boss John Caudwell and steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal will be among your neighbours.

The reception hall of this pad is spread across two stories, leading to the quintessential swirling staircase.

What’s probably added some zeros to the price tag of this home is its posh health and leisure complex with a 55ft swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna and beauty treatment suite.

Also, this multimillion home comes with a mews house that has a reception area with open-plan kitchen, two bedroom suites, a further bedroom and separate shower room.

6. Nine-bedroom home, The Bishops Avenue, north London

Price tag: £38m

London home

Gated on The Bishops Avenue, London’s answer to California’s Beverly Hills, this property spells Luxury with a capital L.

Spread over three floors, the upper two floors have the bedrooms while the top floor has a games room and cinema room.

What makes this home enviable is also its glass-walled gym that overlooks a mosaic-lined pool, which comes with his and hers changing rooms.

7. 11-bedroom home, Hamilton Terrace, St. John’s Wood

Price tag: £37.5m

Hamilton Terrace

If owning a home with 11 bedrooms in central London isn’t enough, buy this home for its billiards room, plush cinema room with a bar, his and hers offices and swings in the backyard.

Still not convinced? Then the home’s luxurious massage room and formal dining room may convince you to shell out £37.5m.

8. 11-bedroom home, Avenue Road, St. John’s Wood

Price tag: £35m

St John's Wood mansion

It comes with the standard five reception rooms and 10 bathrooms, but what we love about this home is its posh entertainment complex.

From a teak-panelled games room with a snooker table to a temperature-controlled wine cellar with bar and tasting areas, the house has some uber luxurious features to get tongues wagging.

And yes, yes don’t worry – it come with a gym, steam room, sauna, two separate changing rooms and a hairdressing salon too.

9. Six-bedroom flat, Knightsbridge

Price tag: £32.5m

Knightsbridge home

Now this apartment is less than half the price of the above-mentioned £68m One Hyde Park pad but still offers stunning views over Hyde Park and Knightsbridge.

Each of the six bedrooms looks like a fancy five-star hotel suite. Look out for the elegant blank marble open kitchen with bar stools and the hi-tech gym, massage room and cinema.

10. 11-bedroom home, Hyde Park Gate, Knightbridge

Price tag: £30m

Hyde Park Gate home

Buy this 11-bedroom home and you could have your own ‘White House’. Cheapest of them all, this £30m luxury home is just south of Kensington Gardens.

It boasts an exultant entrance hall leading to double reception rooms and a dining room. Built for a family, this home has a gorgeous indoor swimming pool and a small gym.

While the master bedroom comes with two dressing rooms and an en-suite bathroom, the kid’s room has a colourful decor and a Superwoman artwork on its wall.
