Departing head of investment Rich Ricci is laughing all the way from Barclays bank to retire to a £10m luxury pad in Kent.

The banker, who will get a year’s salary of £700,000 on top of a £18m bonus, is believed to have refurbished the 17th century mansion which comes with a gym with a heated tunnel.

The pool house in the property costed £1.3m to build and the banker spent £300,000 restoring the roof of the ten-bedroom house.

The Barclays banker will retire in June.
