The unsold Battersea power station to be used by police over the games
Battersea power station has been given a very important role to play in the summer’s Games. That of a, ahem, police car park.
The station, which is still on the market for £500m, will be used by 12,000 officers who will be based there during the Olympics.
There will be canteens, briefing marquees and plenty of parking space for the Met who have rented the building.
