London’s most expensive home has seen its asking price slashed by £35m, it emerged today.

The North London property known as Heath Hall was on the market for £100m, but owners have decided to knock this back to £65m, in a bid to finally shift the 14-bedroom period mansion.

It has been on the market since 2011, following a major restoration by property mogul Andreas Panayiotou.

The British multimillionaire, in his late 40s, is best known for amassing his fortune without ever learning to read.

Panayiotou bought the property in 2006. The building, dates back to 1910 and had been built for sugar magnate William Park Lyle but had fallen into serious disrepair.

It now boasts indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a cinema room, 2.5 acres of land and has all its bathrooms kitted out in specially imported Italian marble.
