The Hard Rock Café in Piccadilly is on the prowl for a new luxury location to house its desired expansion into the hotel trade, it was reported today.
Hard Rock International, which operates the themed restaurants, is understood to be searching for the right central London venue for the Hard Rock Hotel & casino venture, City A.M. reported. The news comes just one month after the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino were launched in Ibiza.
The Ibiza resort is Hard Rock International’s first hotel venture in Europe, although the company teamed up with London property developer Exemplar back in 2011 to snap up a prime piece of London real estate. The pair set their sights on the Odeon West End Leicester Square but ultimately lost out to Radisson Edwardian.
Hard Rock and Exemplar declined to comment.
