Birmingham development partners Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital have hit £57m worth of sales at their flagship apartment scheme Timber Yard, located on Pershore Street in Central Birmingham. In less than a year since the development’s initial release in November of 2018, the scheme is now 65% successfully forward sold, prompting the release of the final phase of apartments in order to meet the high demand from local and international buyers.Upon completion in 2021, Timber Yard will provide 379 apartments, with starting prices from just £194,995. Timber Yard offers the best quality new build apartments in Central Birmingham. The sales success is testament to the scheme offering an executive lifestyle of concierge, a gym, a screening room and a residents’ club lounge. The scheme is also in a prime location with New Street station just an eight-minute walk away. The Timber Yard development is designed around a large central landscaped garden, bordered by two statement residential buildings, the 13 storey East Block and the seven storey West Block. With sales achieving figures of up to £475 per sqft, the first phase of sales at Timber Yard achieved 90% of the East Block being successfully forward sold, while the second phase release resulted in 50% of three floors in the West Block being successfully sold. Now, Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital are releasing the final collection of apartments on three floors of the West Block of the development. The development is designed by Claridge Architects, the multi-award-winning RIBA-chartered practice led by Marcus Claridge, the studio specialising in contemporary design and architectural ‘elegance and simplicity’.Located in the city’s most up and coming address where China Town, the City Centre and the Gay Quarter meets, Timber Yard provides panoramic views from the upper floors of the Birmingham skyline, with the building’s homes having floor to ceiling windows, and apartments offering either balconies, terraces or winter gardens, looking out onto the central landscaped garden or surrounding street scenes. The studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, including duplex residences, are complete with extensive under croft car parking and an opulent reception foyer, providing residents with hotel-like concierge and services. The partners also highlight that the construction of the development is well underway, with a core concrete frame of the East Block built up to the 7th floor of the scheme.David Galman, Sales Director at Galliard Homes said, “The continued success at Timber Yard is testament to the fact that Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital have created a scheme that provides the best quality new build homes in Central Birmingham. Buyers are purchasing great quality homes at an entry price of just £194,995, generating high demand from UK and International buyers. This final phase release is a great milestone for our partnership with Apsley House Capital, confirming the success of our first Birmingham development, and hopefully cementing further projects.”Robin Norstrom, Director at Apsley House Capital said, “Timber Yard is an ideal addition to the Central Birmingham area, and the success of the development comes as no surprise to the Apsley House Capital team. The scheme’s spectacular amenities and high quality of apartments provides residents with the best quality new build homes in Birmingham.”Timber Yard’s contrasting location provides apartment residents with access to a range of high street and designer shops, restaurants and theatres with the Hippodrome being just around the corner; the Chinese quarter’s Asian restaurants, cafes and shops, and the sports clubs, arts groups and cocktail bars of the Gay Village.
